Legendary actor of stage and screen Tim Curry has passed away at the age of 80.

Curry shot to stardom in the 1970s with The Rocky Horror Picture Show, and to this day, he never left our hearts. In 2012, Curry suffered a major stroke that required brain surgery and confined him to a wheelchair. Still, he continued working after the incident, with interviews, voice work and even participating in a live table read of Rocky Horror in 2020.

In 2025, Curry’s memoir Vagabond was released, becoming an instant New York Times bestseller and earning a nomination for the Goodreads Choice Award for Readers’ Favorite Memoir of 2025.

Curry is cherished by generations of fans. Whether it’s the weekly showings of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, multiple rewatches of Stephen King’s IT, or watching Curry give the performance of a lifetime as Long John Silver in Muppet Treasure Island, when Tim Curry was on screen or stage, we loved him for it.

Rest in peace, Tim, and thanks for all the memories.
