Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond & James May will be back on the air, and in your hearts on November 18th. After the extremely asinine firing of head Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson by the BBC last year, Richard Hammond and James May kept to their friend and left as well, despite being offered substantial amounts of money to stay. The former Top Gear hosts, however, could no longer compete with BBC in the UK due to their outstanding contractional agreements, and it even could have been iffy to try to start a new show on U.S television. Thus the trio turned to the internet, as their contracts could not extend to online streaming. Thus started the bidding war between the two big dogs in streaming today, Amazon Prime and Netflix. Amazon won out, though, and over the past several months the former Top Gear Hosts have been filming their new show “The Grand Tour”.
All us former Top Gear fans have been waiting patiently for the air date of the new show and Amazon Prime has now delivered with a new trailer and official premiere date. Clarkson, Hammond & May are back on November 18th only on Amazon Prime. Just too bad we won’t be seeing the Stig, he’s still stuck with that other program.
