Releasing on October 11th of this year, Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary World Tour will feature 8 new levels (actually created by the original 1990s Duke team), along with a graphics upgrade to what Gearbox is calling 2.5D. In actuality, it’s taking the old sprite based game, and putting it in a real 3D environment, the sprites will all stay the same, but the environments will be upgraded to actual 3D, which will greatly improve the overall look of the game. Gearbox is also going back and adding to the soundtrack of the game, by bringing Duke’s original voice actor on board to record all new Duke phrases, and the original soundtrack composer to create an all-new score.
Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary World Tour will arrive on October 11th, on PC, Xbox One, and PS4 for $20.00.
