Age of Sigmar: Ironjawz

So the preorders for the upcoming Ironjawz release went up on Game Workshop, and there are some great new models being released. Along with them comes Grand Alliance: Destruction, which completes the four part Grand Alliance book releases, and they offer a bundle for all of them on the site. So lets check out these new models.

Megaboss working on his skull collection

The paint scheme on it is bright and stunning, letting you see all the finer details and his growing skull collection. I love the aesthetic of this model and is a great piece to have as one of your heroes or your general for your army. But your Megaboss isn’t limited to being on foot, let’s take a look at his new best friend The Maw Krusha.

Gordrakk, the Fist of Gork.

Alternate build as Gordrakk, the Fist of Gork.

Now those are some badass looking monsters. The kit can be used to build either the Megaboss on Maw-krusha or Ordrakk, the Fist of Gork. And both of them make great center pieces for your army. I do hope they eventually come out with a new Wyvern model as I’ve been a huge fan of Azhag the Slaughterer and was sad to see him and his old model go out of production.

Now on to your boys, we’ve got the new Brutes, the Ardboys which are renamed Black Orcs, and the new cavalry models The Gore-gruntas!

Gore Gruntas

These will all help you build a proper Waagh! The new Brutes are definitely capturing the Orc feel, and yes I know that they are now called Orruks, but I think we can all agree that in our hearts we know them to be Orcs. The Gore-gruntas i’m not that big of a fan of, although seeing them in person may change my mind, going by the pictures it does seem that they only have two different models of the boars which for a box of three of them I find to be a little annoying.

And can’t forget the Battletome: Ironjawz

I know that a lot of players have been eagerly awaiting the release of Destruction, and this looks like a promising start to bringing a proper Waagh! to the Mortal Realms. I look forward to the eventual goblin releases as well, but as of yet no word on when they may hit the shelves.
